The rubber-tired gantry crane can realize a variety of modes such as straight travel, diagonal travel, horizontal travel, in-situ rotation, Ackerman steering, etc.

The crane mainly consists of main beam, support leg, hoisting mechanism, tire walking and braking system, steering mechanism, power system, electrical system, hydraulic system, hydraulic transmission system, cab, control system, safety device, etc.

The tire type container gantry crane(also known as yard/field bridge) is a specialized machinery used in large specialized container yards to load and unload standard containers. It is not only applicable to container terminal yards, but also to container dedicated yards.
Equipped with diesel AC generator set for power supply and digital variable frequency speed regulation, it can move in two directions within the container yard. Equipped with telescopic slings capable of lifting 20 foot and 40 foot containers. In general, the span of the field bridge has been standardized to 23.47 meters (six lanes plus walkways), and non-standard span field bridges can also be supplied. The traveling mechanism of the crane can be four-wheel or two wheel drive. To prevent collisions between yard bridges and between yard bridges and containers, a manual deviation correction system and anti collision devices at the four corners of the crane are installed.
